Evaluation of cytotoxicity of modified implant-capable titanium-surfaces on human cells

As part of this experiment two different types of human cells were colonized on titanium-samples with different surface properties. Each combination was triplicate colonized for 4 different time intervals. Thereafter the cells were dyed and photographed for evaluation. This created images of 4 randomly selected locations of each sample to analyze the cell viability, their expanse of colonization and morphology.

A clinical elvaluation of Nobel Procera implant bar overdentures in the mandible or maxilla on 4 NobelReplace CC implants

To evaluate and compare the clinical marginal bone level change, the cumulative survival and success rate and the clinical behaviour of NobelReplace CC implants supporting NobelProcera  implant bar overdentures in the mandible with the clinical marginal bone level change, the cumulative survival and success rate and the clinical behaviour of the NobelReplace CC implants supporting Nobel Procera implant bar overdentures in the maxilla for a period of 5 years.

An open, prospective, single cohort, multi-centre study evaluating the NobelReplace Conical Connection implants supported single-unit crowns in the maxilla.

The randomized shortened dental arch study

The study was designed to provide clinical outcome data for two treatments of the shortened dental arch (SDA).
In a multicenter randomized controlled clinical trial, patients with complete molar loss in one jaw were provided with either a partial removable dental prosthesis (PRDP) retained with precision attachments or treated according to the SDA concept preserving or restoring a premolar occlusion. No implants were placed.

Oral Health-Related Quality of Life in Edentulous Patients with Two- vs Four-Locator-Retained Mandibular Overdentures: A Prospective, Randomized, Crossover Study

To compare the oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) in a prospective, randomized crossover trial in patients with mandibular overdentures retained with two or four locators.
In 30 patients with edentulous mandibles, four implants (ICX-plus implants [Medentis Medical]) were placed in the intraforaminal area. Eight weeks after transgingival healing, patients were randomly assigned to have two or four implants incorporated in the prosthesis. After 3 months, the retention concepts were switched. The patients with a two-implant-supported overdenture had four implants incorporated, whereas patients with a four-implant-supported overdenture had two retention locators taken out. After 3 more months, all four implants were retained in the implant-supported overdenture in every patient. To measure OHRQoL of the patients, the Oral Health Impact Profile 14, German version (OHIP-14 G), was used.

Material Incompatibilities with Partial Dentures

The number of material incompatibilities with partial dentures is low; anyhow each of them necessarily forces the remaking of new partial dentures.
In this research the various causes of material incompatibilities are examined with a high amount of patients.
